Funds going to Senior Center, other groups


The State of Washington keeps a metaphoric piggy bank that can be used to help with projects in various areas. Rep. Gina McCabe has tapped into it.

In recent weeks she secured:

• $155,000 for improvements to the Goldendale Senior Center;

• $270,000 for restoration of the Lyle Activity Center;

• $172,000 for the Skyline Community Meeting Space in White Salmon;

• $1,100 for a central alarm system at Mill A School in Cook.
