H&G Show close to capacity

It’s going to be a full house at the 2016 Home, Garden & Sportsman’s show at the Klickitat County Fairground’s Joan Frey Arena, April 29 through May 1. For the first time in its eight-year history, the show is booked at 90 percent of exhibitor capacity, according to the Greater Goldendale Area Chamber of Commerce, the show organizer.

Goldendale Chamber Executive Director Dana Peck credits the rise to adding Sportsman’s exhibits and more speakers to the lineup this year. “Looks like Goldendale really is a sportsman’s paradise, just like the sign over Columbus says,” says Peck. “We’re really proud to say this year’s event has lots to do for kids and sportsmen, as well as the always-interesting gardening and home improvement exhibitors, we have a full slate of speakers and demonstrations, and some great food vendors. There’s also been an outpouring of support from local sponsors and many exhibitors are offering show specials and drawings for merchandise or adventure experiences, so we’re gearing up for a great three days.”

The show will be open Friday, April 29, from noon to 7 p.m .; Saturday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m .; and Sunday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information visit http://www.goldendalechamber.org, or call the Chamber at 773-3400.
