With cars lined up for two-miles and people crowding into a small space at the end of Saxton-Bane, I opted to go home and watch the Mariners. But, I like the idea of rally racing and would have loved to watch them go over the top of the Dalles Mountain Road. Given the danger the sport has for spectators, I understand the lack of better viewing sites.

I drive my truck 20 mph over Dalles Mountain Road. It can be rough. These guys were going 80 to 100 mph over the road. Wow!

Speaking of wow and great racing, the duel between Brian Golding and Nathan Powers was special at Glenwood, Friday. Two premier hurdlers right here in our area. It was easy to get to see if you drove to Glenwood. In fact...
