Goldendale boys log team win at Condon track meet

DOWN TO THE WIRE: Logan Boardman, right and Gunner McCall had an epic battle at Condon, Saturday. McCall won the 200 meters by 0.02 seconds and Boardman edged McCall in the 400 meters by 0.03 seconds.

Goldendale's boys won just four events at Condon, Saturday, but strong performances that rang up points produced a team win. Brian Golding won the 110 meter and 300 meter hurdles and Logan Boardman was first in the 400 meters. The Wolves also won the 4x400 meter relay with Golding, Boardman, Dominick Rose and Michael Jagelski.

Eighteen teams were represented at the warmer than usual meet. Bickleton boys were fourth, Trout Lake girls were fourth, Goldendale girls were seventh, Lyle-Wishram boys were 10th and the girls 11th.

Other area winners were Trout Lake's Bethany Putnam, winner of the 800 meters and tied with Bickleton's Kira Harvey for the win in pole vault and Trout Lake's Liz Fink...
