Moyer Bruce Hyder, 94, passed away at his home in Goldendale on June 1, 2016. He was born to Florence (Bent) and Edward James Hyder in Wahkiacus, Washington on February 25, 1922.

Bruce served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He married Vesta Erma Thompson in Goldendale on June 30, 1954.

Bruce farmed and worked in the Klickitat Lumber Mill for over 40 years, retiring in 1984. He served as Master Mason for the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed farming and working. He also liked hunting, fishing and photography.

Mr. Hyder is survived by his wife Vesta of Goldendale; stepson Howard Kenneth Morgan and his wife Sandy of Walla Walla, Washington; daughter Mary Lou Clark and her husband Harold of Goldendale; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Maynard.

A funeral service was held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel in Goldendale with interment at Mountain View IOOF Cemetery.
