Eulahla Riches Minshall

Eulahla Virginia Riches Minshall passed away in The Dalles on June 3, 2016 at the age of 80.

She was born on January 31, 1936 in Medford, Oregon to Richard and Virginia (Attaberry) Painter. Eulahla moved to The Dalles and worked for Duckwall and Stadleman packing sheds as a teen. She moved to Goldendale in 1961 and married Phil Riches Nov. 9th 1964 in Goldendale. There they farmed, ranched and ran Riches Pharmacy. Phil passed away in June of 1981. She later married Richard Minshall in 1983 in Nevada. He passed away in Dec. 2003.

Eulahla was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and the Garden Club. Eulahla enjoyed reading, horseback riding, watching John Wayne movies, playing pinochle, flower arranging and gardening. She also loved to travel, visiting Colombia, Alaska, Belize, and Mexico. Eulahla is survived by her children Larry Riches and his wife Connie, Karen Anderson and her husband Greg, and Tony Riches all of Goldendale; step children Bob Riches, Roberta Riches and Phillip "Punky" Riches all of Vancouver and Brian Riches of Portland; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel handled cremation arrangements. At Eulahla's request a donation to St. Judes Childrens Hospital be made in lieu of flowers.
