Let's recede back to olden days


To the Editor:

Remember how easy life was before all those bad people discovered the many uses for petroleum? We didn’t have to worry about asphalt for roads, fuel for cars, trucks, trains, planes, combines, tractors, lawn mowers, furnaces, and motorcycles.

We didn’t need plastics for zip-lock bags, trash bags, appliances, linoleum, tarps, bowls, parts for the afore mentioned vehicles, DVDs, and of course your credit card.

I think it’s in the best interest of all mankind that we go back to the basics: get rid of everything on the above list, buy horses (they double as lawn mowers). Restart the Pony Express and stagecoach lines, 20 mule teams, take two week trips to Portland for sup...
