Man aims loaded rifle at wife

Klickitat County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a domestic violence call outside of Centerville on June 18. Deputies spoke to the victims away from the residence and were told that Aurelio Rojo Olvera, 47, of Centerville, had head butted his wife and had pointed a loaded rifle at her. Rojo Olvera also was alleged to have assaulted a juvenile female inside the residence, pinning her against a wall and preventing her from calling 911. The victims were able to escape the residence.

Rojo Olvera resisted attempts to arrest him, according to the Sheriff’s Office report, and had to be taken to the ground. Rojo Olvera was booked into jail for assault 1st degree domestic violence involving a firearm, two counts of assault 4th degree domestic violence, interfering with a report of a domestic violence and resisting arrest. The deputies involved in the arrest were Dwayne Matulovich, Chris Wyzykowski, and Mitch Kegley. They confiscated the firearm, which was taken as evidence, and completed the arrest safely and without further incidents.
