Melvin Roberson

Melvin Albert Roberson passed away in Yakima, Washington on June 21, 2016 at the age of 69. He was born to Lloyd Melvin and Lucille Alberta (Schrantz) Roberson on July 30, 1946 in Pasco, Washington. Melvin was a 1964 graduate of Bickleton High School. He married Linda Sue Van Nostern in Grandview, Washington on December 7, 1969 and they lived in the Yakima Valley.

In 1980, Melvin and Linda moved to Glenwood where he went to work for C & H Logging, driving log truck for 27 years. He retired in 2001. Mr. Roberson loved rodeos, riding horses and helping people with their cattle. He also enjoyed reading western and detective novels. Melvin was a member of the Glenwood Ketchum Kalf Rodeo Association and the Aldercreek Pioneer Rodeo Association. He is survived by his wife Linda Roberson of Union Gap, Washington; brothers Wayne Roberson of Union Gap, Cleo Roberson of Cleveland, Washington and Carl Roberson of Soldotna, Alaska; sisters Louise Barnes of Soldotna and Wanda Elthridge of Manson, Washington. He was preceded in death by his daughter Shawna Roberson and brother Claude Roberson.

A funeral service was held at Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel in Goldendale on Saturday, June 25 with interment at Mount Adams Cemetery in Glenwood. To send condolences to the Roberson family, please visit
