Know facts before supporting coach

To the Editor:

I’m very disappointed in some response to the story on Coach Bellamy. My daughter played for two years. She was hardworking and had a great and positive attitude. The “positive result” from the coach was for her to sit on the bench.

Coach Bellamy does not realize all the potential she has on her teams. She zeroes in on the ones she feels are the best. My daughter may not have been the best, but she gave 100 percent and had one of the best attitudes on the team. Apparently the coach sees it differently, so instead of trying to help her become better, she spent all her time trying to make the best better—which made some players feel inferior to their teammates.
