Charles Elmer Lewis


Charles Elmer Lewis, 54, of Stanwood, WA, died Saturday, July 2, 2016 in Yakima. Charles was born January 30, 1962 in Hood River, OR to Charles Vernon and Judith L. (Kramer) Lewis. He was raised in Goldendale, WA and graduated top ten of his class in 1980 from Klickitat High School.

Charles worked twenty-five years for United Telephone/Sprint before retiring in 2005. He was proud to say he provided daycare for two of his eight grandchildren the past year. Charles especially enjoyed his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing the Klickitat and playing Spanish 21. Charles was a collector of many things, including hunting mushrooms, and antiquing. He was a jokester and had a great time teasing his sisters and clowning around. He will be deeply missed by all knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents, Charles Lewis of Goldendale and Judith Collins of Richland; children, Lyndsey & Nathen Johnson, Amanda & Nathan Slattery and Charlee Lewis and fiancé Colton Rowland, all of Stanwood, WA; eight grandchildren, Nicholes (17), Jaden (15), Paxton (8), Natalyn (5), Riley (1), Hunter (7), Braylon (2) and Blaklee (1); also sisters, Christi & Mike Daniels of Unalaska, AK, Margie & Ron Walz of West Richland, WA and Colette Lewis & Tony Bidonde of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Cliff Collins and stepmother Virgie Lewis.

Charles will be remembered at a private family gathering.
