Annual museum event pulls an all-nighter

SLAVIC SHAKESPEARE: The king and his entourage visit the princess and ladies disguised as Russians in Love's Labours Lost at Maryhill

This past weekend the Maryhill Museum of Art welcomed patrons of all ages for a variety of events ranging in focus from the stars to the stage.

Saturday, July 30 not only hosted the annual "free counties" event-where residents of both Oregon and Washington counties can gain free admission to the museum for the weekend-but also a new event dubbed "Star Party: Night at the Museum." This new attraction allowed families to camp out on the museum grounds (for a small fee) and join volunteers from the Rose City Astronomers for special views of the sun at 1 p.m. and glimpses of the night sky in the later hours.
