Archery shoot coming this weekend

August 17, 2016

2 Mountain Outdoors, a recently started local business intended to provide Goldendale with quality hunting gear without having to travel to the big box stores, will be putting on an archery shoot this Saturday, Aug. 20 at 10 a.m.

The event will act as a warm up to hunting season to get people out and brush off the cobwebs while having some fun. The Ricky Bobby Shoot is a winner-takes-all kind of event meaning the shooter with the highest score takes half the pot. The other half goes to buying hot dogs, drinks, and snacks for the contestants. The shoot will include a 100-yard course with a shot every 10 yards all the way down to 10 yards, and there will also be a small 3D shoot with and without the use of a range finder and some very realistic shots. Everyone with archery equipment is welcome. Items needed will be a bow setup of your choice at least 10 arrows and a $10 per person entry fee. More information can be found on 2 Mountain Outdoors on Facebook. To get to the event: 610 Buckskin Lane, Goldendale-Bickleton Highway to Old Mt. Road, Follow signs to Buckskin Lane.
