School board votes to reprimand Heid, restricts comment


In a tightly controlled meeting Monday night, the Goldendale School Board voted to reprimand Superintendent Mark Heid and addressed the process for complaints against school employees.

Action against Heid was primarily for his unlawful sale of a golf cart he owned to the school district, in which he transferred title of the vehicle to an acquaintance from whom the district then purchased the cart after Heid was told he could not sell it to the district. Action was also taken against him for his mishandling of the complaint process involving volleyball coach Jodi Bellamy.

The actions included two written reprimands, a $500 fine, voiding of the golf cart sale and requiring Heid to buy back...
