Stage two of horsemanship camp at BC Mello Arena

Bill & Cindy Mello and their daughter Alyson of BC Mello Arena is hosting their second competition of a three part series this August 19th through the 21st.

In addition to individual weekend high point prizes, the competition also combines the cumulative points earned to obtain an overall end award during the weekend of September 23rd - 25th.

Awards include items such as Saddle, headstall and breast collars donated by Bishop Towing, and custom made Chinks donated by BC Mello Arena, custom made by Robin Hudson.

All ages are encouraged to attend with the competition offering varying skill classes and age groups. The event is family oriented and open to the public and will also feature a small concessions. The 3 acre trail course is based on real ranch and natural trails, no gimmicks.

Those interested may sign up online, call, or even arrive the day of, but must sign up before first class. The event starts at 9am Friday, with a walk through of the course with judges starting at 8:00am. The Saturday walk through begins at 7:30am with classes beginning at 8:30am.

Cost is $25/class, $40/cattle classes, $10 office fee/horse, $10/night dry camping, $10/night per horse pen.

Extreme Ranch Horse Versatility Competition:

Divisions - Open, Amature, Novice

Classes - Ranch Trail, Cattle Drive, Ranch Horse Conformation, One Man Sorting, Pleasure and Raining

Must enter all 6 classes to qualify for Hi-Point

Champion/reserve plus awards to 5th in each division

2016 overall high point

Will receive a custom corriente saddle donated by states towing and repair. Reserve high point for the season will receive custom chinks made by Robin Hudson donated by BCMA.
