Incumbants rule primary election

 


Secretary of State Kim Wyman certified the primary election for Washington. There were 1,431,058 votes cast. Patty Murray (D) topped U.S. Senate slate with 745,421 votes. Chris Vance (R) was a distant second with 381,004. Gov. Jay Inslee (D) was tops among governor candidates with 687,412, ahead of Bill Bryant (R) who had 534,519.
