The Goldendale Sentinel - Headlines & History since 1879

Deer, there, and everywhere

To the Editor:

There’s an old saying that everyone complains about the weather but nobody does anything about it. The same could be said for the over-abundance of deer here in Goldendale.

Everyone complains about it but nobody does anything about it. The deer continue to multiply and get less discriminating about what they eat every year. I understand that at the last City Council meeting a local citizen took the initiative to make a presentation about the deer problem here in town and what other towns had done about their deer problems. There was no coverage in The Sentinel of the presentation, and the minutes of the council meeting give no details.

Those of us who are tired of the deer eating our landscaping would be interested in seeing possible solutions covered, please.
