Goldendale XC boys take fourth

The Goldendale High School boys cross country team showed it’s a force to be reckoned with in the South Central Athletic Conference this season as it cruised to a fourth place finish at Saturday’s Connell Invite.

The Timberwolves, led by a sixth place showing from Dillon Rising, outpaced SCAC rival Royal, compiling 160 points to the Knight’s 178.

The Knights have been the boys SCAC district champions for the past seven seasons and captured the boys Class 1A state title in 2007.

The Wolves placed two boys in the top 20, Dillon Rising at sixth in 17 minutes, 8.9 seconds, and Lucas Anderson at 18th in 17:53.63.
