City hears report on library


Monday night’s Goldendale City Council meeting dealt mostly with routine business and was over in 28 minutes.

Councilors did approve a minor change order in the West Columbus Neighborhood Improvement Project in the amount of $9,000. Public Works Director Karl Enyeart explained that on south side of the 100 block of Bergen Street opposite the Goldendale Library, there are several homes without driveways and the people who live there have been parking on the buffer area. He said that’s against code because there’s a curb there that exceeds two inches, but they have no other place to park. He noted that the city was currently working on that street and would have to do some restoration...
