TAKES A LICKING, KEEPS ON TICKING

Lou Marzeles

Here's to The Sentinel's Circulation and Distribution Manager Karie Ellis, who had a heart attack a few weeks ago. She had it on a Thursday night but was back at her desk the following Tuesday, despite being told to take her time. (It was a short day for her, but she did come in.) Karie has been slowly resuming the full scope of her responsibilities, not content to let them slide, with help from some of her distribution staff. People are the most important resource any business has, and The Sentinel is very fortunate to have one of the best in Karie. She's also a gifted creator of Afghans such as the one she's holding in this picture; she made it after her heart attack.
