Cougs crushed by Dayton


One week after falling to the top team in the Eastern Washington Athletic Conference by six points, the Lyle-Wishram Cougars were unable to earn their first conference gridiron win this season.

The Cougs had a tough time offensively and defensively against Dayton-Waitsburg on Friday, falling 52-0 while compiling just 82 yards of total offense.

Jeramiah Ostrander passed for 51 yards and rushed for 10 yards and hooked up twice with Reco Quintero for 46 yards through the air.

Ostrander’s 10 yards on the ground was a team high, while Brandon Montoya rushed for eight years and Samuel McCullough totaled six rushing yards.
