Respect the flag

Honor America.

As I drive around town, I see many flags left out all the time. To me this shows a lack of respect!

This morning I Googled displaying the flag at night. This is the return I received: “According to the US flag code, (Section 6a), all American flags should be displayed from sunrise to sunset every day. Lowering the flag at night is the ultimate sign of respect for Old Glory. But like many rules, there is an exception. You can keep your flag up flying 24 hours if it is properly illuminated during all hours of darkness.”

Further reading suggests because of new materials in flag construction it’s OK, but leaving the US flag out and unlit is just lazy disrespect for our great nation.
