Museum holds spaghetti fundraiser

Hear Ye, Hear Ye—The Twin Bridges Museum is hosting an evening of fun, food and friends all wrapped up in their fundraiser Spaghetti Feed. Benedetti’s will be catering the food, and we all know how great their food is. It’s not just a pretty pizza place! The Lyle High Choir and Drama students will be performing for your entertainment, and there’ll be a Chinese Raffle giving you chances to win great prizes. Members of the museum will have tickets for the dinner and the raffle tickets will be on hand that night. So get your glad rags on and show your support for our great little museum by getting your favorite color crayon and marking that calendar for this coming—yep, this coming Friday the 21st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lions Club.

As we near Halloween Night, please be careful of the little goblins out and about. We get fewer and fewer little ones each year with schools and businesses working on that safety issue by presenting an all-in-one-place for them to glean their goodies. But they are so full of excitement with the ability to receive free treats just for yelling “Trick or Treat” when someone answers a doorbell, they may run across the street without paying attention to oncoming vehicles.

A message from the president of OLESS informs us about the Activity Center: “Work has begun on replacing some windows in the hallway and doors. A bid was accepted to begin work on the west roof by Mahar Roofing in Hood River. Nominations were made for new board members. Voting will take place at the Nov. 14 meeting (6 p.m.). Come and cast your vote. The Holiday Bazaar and the Klickitat Trail Half-Marathon will be on Nov. 5. Both are fundraisers for the Lyle Activity Center.” The bazaar has always been a great source of hard-to-find or one-of-a kind gifts for that hard-to-buy-for person on your Christmas list. This year it is planned for both the 4th and 5th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. For more information on either of these events call: Cindy (360) 892-8444.
