Lyle-Wishram spikers lose to Sunnysid


The Sunnyside Christian spikers and their hot serving cooled off the Lyle-Wishram Cougars on Thursday.

The Cougs, having not lost since before the White Swan Tournament on Sept. 24, ran into a tough Knights squad and fell in three sets (16-25, 17-25, 17-25).

“We struggled to get our offense started against a strong serving Sunnyside Christian squad,” Lyle-Wishram head coach Jane Roberts said in an email.

The Cougars struggled in the first set against the Knight’s big front line, according to Roberts, and played point-for-point for the majority of the second and third sets before faltering late.
