Cougs fall on Homecoming, senior night

The Lyle-Wishram Cougars jumped all over the Mabton Vikings early on in Friday's Eastern Washington Athletic Conference contest at Lyle High School.

However, fatigue caught up to the Cougars, who were down to just 18 players, in the second half as the Vikings pulled away for a 48-20 win to spoil Lyle-Wishram's Homecoming game and senior night.

For the most part, playing banged up and undermanned has been the theme of the season for the young Cougars, who played 11 man football for the first time in around 10 years.
