Goldendale football finishes on fun note after tough season

Cameron Read took the snap, rolled out of the pocket and scanned the field for an open receiver. He didn't see anyone so he took off, broke a few tackles before being brought down by his own teammates.

No Read didn't play quarterback during the team's last game of the season on Friday in Wahluke, but he was under center for one of the teams in Goldendale's intrasquad scrimmage on Monday, the last time the players put on the pads this season.

"It's really nice to see the boys cut loose, let it go, care free and be kids again," first year Goldendale head coach Alan Hale said after the short scrimmage.
