An eventful lead-up to the holiday season


Glenwood School students and staff presented a very moving Veterans Day program last Thursday. The program began with the preschool through first grade classes leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Second through fifth graders sang a patriotic song, under the direction of Mrs. Hallenbeck. Mr. Oldenburg’s high school leadership class shared the history of Veterans Day. Two very moving videos were presented, and even the smallest students could see the sacrifices our veterans have made.

Mrs. Gimlin closed by asking every attendee to select a small soldier figure and take it home, keep it where it will be seen, and asked everyone to remember to thank veterans for their service.
