BPA puts flight warning balls on wires across river near Wishram



Seemingly, just in time for Christmas, colorful balls now adorn the power lines crossing the Columbia River at Wishram. Klickitat Sheriff Bob Songer has announced that Bonneville Power Association has completed the marking of the Big Eddy wire crossing near the Burlington Northern rail bridge. The wire span, over 1,000 feet above sea level, hundreds of feet above water level, and carrying 500,000 volts from Klickitat County in Washington to Wasco County in Oregon, was completed in 2015.
