Chamber back in original office


After a major remodel and expansion, the Greater Goldendale Area Chamber of Commerce directors and members celebrated the reopening of the building at 903 East Broadway and announced election results at their annual meeting and open house on Saturday , Dec. 3. Of the Chamber’s nine director positions, there were three openings for the term 2017 to 2020 and an open position through 2017 due to a resignation. Newly elected Chamber Directors are: Carlos Perez, owner of Perez Collision; Justin Leigh, owner of Dwinell Ales; Rob Wing of Dry Side Property; and Diana Adams, owner of J’Adore Salon and Pete’s Pizza. Officers for 2017 were elected at the meeting as well. Rick Lundin and Jonathan Lewis will continue as president and vice president respectively, while Justin Leigh will take over as Treasurer from outgoing director Ron Confer . At the close of the meeting, Lundin thanked the numerous volunteers who helped get the building finished. “We couldn’t have completed this project without Jim Allyn’s generosity and the can-do attitude of so many volunteers, like Tom Ireland, Lucille Bevis, Nam Sun Whitner , Diana and Julian Notestine, Rick McComas, Gary Burgess, and all of the people who got the project off the ground in the first place,” he said. Lundin also thanked Executive Director Dana Peck and Administrative Assistant Phyllis Cook for their long hours and dedication.
