Lucille Ruth (Bohlman) Lefever


Lucille Ruth (Bohlman) Lefever passed away Dec. 7, 2016 in The Dalles, Oregon, at the age of 98. She was born in Portland on Sept. 9, 1918 to her parents Oscar and Amelia Bohlman. Her brother Wesley Bohlman followed. She lived in Milwaukie, Oregon until she married Einar Andersen and moved to Goldendale in 1938. Daughter Linda was born December 29, 1942 Einar passed away in 1947 and she married James Lefever in 1948. Son Richard Lefever was soon born into the family. Lucille was an active farmer and rancher's wife. Family was always her top priority and being involved in her children and later grandchildren's lives was very important. She was a Boy Scout leader, a 4-H leader, Sunday school teacher, member of the Goldendale Grange, and more. She was an active member of the Goldendale United Methodist, as well as a very active member of the Republican Party. Highlights include attending President Ronald Regan's inauguration and being a Barbara Bush greeter in Seattle. Lucille was also very involved with the Order of Eastern Star, holding many local offices and a state office. She was preceded in death by her husband James Lefever, Brother Wesley Bohlman, son inlaw Ervin Anderson, step son James Lefever and great grandson Justin Brown. She is survived by daughter Linda Anderson, Goldendale; step daughter Marjorie Franklin of Vancouver; and son Richard Lefever of Goldendale; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and even a couple great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 17th at 1pm at the Goldendale United Methodist Church under direction of Pastor Pat Longstroth. Interment will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery under the care of Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to the Klickitat County Historical Society or to the Shriner's Hospital
