Goldendale wrestlers idle again after home meet postponed for early January

Goldendale head wrestling coach Matt Dumolt admitted he was upset after Goldendale's home opening wrestling meet was postponed due to snow on Dec. 15. But he also said it is a double edged sword how things worked out after Goldendale's first of two home meets was rescheduled for Jan. 9.

"We will have actually a total of five more kids eligible so that'll help fill a lineup," Dumolt said during Monday's practice upstairs in the Goldendale High School gym.

Prior to the postponement of last week's home double dual with Granger, Kiona-Benton and Wahluke, the Timberwolves would have been able to fill just six out of the 14 total weight class spots while a few kids were injured and academical...
