Snow Park a lesser-known winter fun spot

The old Satus Pass ski area is once again open to the public. Just don't expect a lift to bring you back to the top.

In an effort to give Discover Pass holders more places to play, the parks department has turned the defunct resort into a "Snow Play Area." Need a sledding hill? Look no further. For Mom and Dad there's even a warming hut, complete with fire pit.

Other uses include snowshoeing and hiking. While the park itself is closed to horses and motor vehicles, snowmobilers and equestrians are welcome to use the area as an access point for surrounding Western Pacific Timber properties (see map).
