Wayne Burr

Wayne Lee Burr, 64, passed away in Vancouver, Washington on Dec. 15, 2016. He was born in Vancouver on Sept. 17, 1952 to Gladys Gertrude (Clark) and Robert Edward Burr. Wayne graduated from Stevenson High School in 1970. Once out of school, he went to work in the local timber mills. In the mid-1980s, Mr. Burr began working for BNSF railways as a brakeman and then as a conductor. Wayne lived most of his life in Carson, but did spend 18 years in Goldendale, where he has many friends and acquaintances. He loved mushroom picking, fishing and hunting. He is survived by his daughter Autumn Turner and her husband Tracy Foster of Carson; son Anthony Burr and his wife Jessica of Carson; sisters Gayle Sellers and her husband Chuck of Washougal, WA and Cheryl Burr of West Valley City, Utah; brother Daryl Burr and his wife Audrey of Vernonia, Oregon; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Pat Niemela, Camille (Heagle) May and Leslie Whitecotton, and cousin Phil Burr. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 at Carson Bible Church with interment at Wind River Memorial Cemetery. Please send condolences to Wayne's family by visiting www.
