Facing one of the top teams in the South Central Athletic Conference, the Goldendale Timberwolves girls basketball team had its work cut out against the Zillah Leopards.

The Leopards were coming off an appearance at last year's Class 1A state tournament and entered last Tuesday's matchup with the Timberwolves at 3-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

The Timberwolves, however, were still undermanned after being bit by the injury bug the week before.

After posting back-to-back victories over Stevenson (64-35 on Dec. 6) and Royal (59-54 on Dec. 10) with a full team, Goldendale has yet to return to the court with its entire roster and has dropped three straight games in the process.
