Lyle-Wishram girls getting better but fall to Stevenson

Playing in a rescheduled game that was postponed on Dec. 9, the Lyle-Wishram girls scored more points than any other game this season, but it wasn't enough to propel them past Stevenson last Wednesday in Lyle.

Led by a team-best nine points and some great defense from senior guard Alex Cloud, the Cougars hung tough with the Bulldogs early on but couldn't keep pace in the final three quarters of the 63-30 loss.

The Cougars had a tough time from the opening tip with just seven players suited up against Stevenson, a Class 1A school which plays in the Trico League.
