Dalton Elliott

Dalton Elliott, 17, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016. Dalton was born March 29, 1999, to Eric Elliott and Sarah West in Jefferson, Iowa. Dalton spent much of his life in Goldendale.

Dalton was a senior at Southeast Polk High School in Altoona. He participated in FFA, track, and baseball. He loved horses and the rodeo and wanted to be a bull rider. He was in 4H and participated in the Junior Rodeo in Goldendale. He worked at Dominoes Pizza and volunteered at the Iowa State Fair. After high school, Dalton wanted to join the US Marine Corps. He will be remembered as being free spirited and kind-hearted. He loved to play the guitar and listen to country music, and being in the great outdoors-hunting, fishing, and camping.

Dalton is survived by mother, Sarah D. West; his father, Eric Michael (Aundrea) Elliott; siblings William K. Elliott, Athena Little, Addison Elliott, Izabelle Elliott, and Abby Sheeder; grandparents, David and Jill West, Lisa D. Elliott, and Kenny (Patti) Cogizer; great-grandparents, Cathy E. Elliott and Josephine Jewel West; aunts and uncles, James (Toni) West, Matt West, Mike (Heather) West, Mary DeWitt, Rebecca (Pete) Naillon cousins Annabelle and Abbigail West, Dayne and Austin West, Kara, Elle and Aubrey DeWitt, Riley and Porter West, Zoey and Payton Naillon and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his cousin, Brandon Fredrick Elliott; great-grandparents, Lucile and Gordon Mower, William "Bill" West, Fredrick Mark Elliott, and Mary Julia Bell.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10:30 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church, at the corner of N. Columbus and McKinley.
