Aussie company coming to Bingen


An Australian company is about to set up shop next to InSitu in Bingen, according to a report in The Seattle Times.

According to the Times, a company called Orbital and based in Perth has signed a three-year deal with Boeing, which owns InSitu, to supply the Bingen firm with a new Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) engine. The deal represents a $90 million agreement with InSitu.

Orbital plans to move into an existing facility within six months, most likely in Bingen. According to InSitu, about 15 jobs will be brought to the area initially, though that should scale up later.
