Golden Pride forms with big plans for a small town

A new group of locals have formed a committee to spruce up the community, called Golden Pride. The reason for this name is because the founders feel the community needs to take pride in this small rural town, and because the town’s founders were the Golden family. The purpose of this group is to get together with others who want the same thing for the community.

The group has several subcommittees already, called Main Street, Block committee, Town Entrance, and others. There will be more to come. The group welcomes anyone willing to help in any way: elbow grease, money, supplies, ideas, and the like.

Plans are already in the works for a spring start up. Volunteers should contact either Betty Richards (509) 250-0172 or Audrey McEwen (509) 773-0485. Golden Pride is planning more meetings and welcome people who wish to see the town come alive and sparkle in the future. They are also selling tee shirts for $12 each.
