Goldendale boys win, girls fall to Cle Elum


The Goldendale boys hoops team continued to climb the South Central Athletic Conference standings after cruising past Cle Elum on Friday in Goldendale.

The Timberwolves took control in the first quarter and never really were threatened by the Warriors in their 61-40 home win that pushed the Wolves past .500 in conference play at 3-2.

Senior forward Alex Mains led Goldendale with 23 points and was one of four Wolves to finish with double digit points. Jess Beierle and Conner Doubravsky each scored 11 and Edgar Vega added 10.
