Zillah, La Salle too much for Goldendale girls

The Goldendale Timberwolves girls faced the tough task of dealing with two of the top teams in the South Central Athletic Conference last weekend in a pair of losses to La Salle on Friday and at Zillah on Saturday.

On Friday in Goldendale, the Timberwolves had a tough time dealing with the Lightning press in their 65-32 loss.

Goldendale 9 10 8 5 - 32

La Salle 27 23 5 10 - 65

Goldendale: Bryan 14, Gilliam 7, Bartkowski 5, Plum 3, Dunlap 3.

Zillah sweeps

Things didn't get any easier on Saturday, when the Wolves traveled to Zillah to take on the No. 9 ranked Class 1A team according to the WIAA RPI rankings.
