Troh honored

Here’s a heads up regarding bingo. Due to illness of the bingo caller, bingo will be moved to the second Friday of February, the 10th at 7 p.m. Glenwood Women’s Club is sorry for the postponement, but hope for a good crowd on the 10th. Colton Troh, Glenwood’s lone senior on the Klickitat/Glenwood basketball team, was honored at Senior Night last Saturday. Although the team lost to top-ranked Sunnyside Christian, Colton and the rest of the team played a very good game and made Glenwood proud. The team coach and all the players on the team made Colton’s senior night one to remember. Congratulations, Colton, on achieving this milestone in your high school athletics career. Don’t forget the pancake feed Saturday, February 4th. Pioneer Memorial Community Church is taking area 6th – 12th grade students to Winter Camp near Mt. Hood the first weekend in March. To help lower the cost for students, they will be hosting a Pancake Feed at the church on February 4th from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. If you would like to help send kids to camp, come and enjoy pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, and scrambled eggs. Your donations are greatly appreciated. And here’s another reminder for a fun Valentine’s Day evening. Make plans to gather with friends for a free dinner provided by the Glenwood Pioneer Community Church, along with a concert with Christian country singer Charlie Walker. Families and singles welcome. This winter has been rough so far, especially those who have a little more difficulty getting around than others. Klickitat County Public Works has a list of people throughout the county who will shovel snow for the elderly and disabled free of charge. Call 509-773-4616 after 9:00 a.m. on week days to ask for assistance. On that same note, any Glenwood residents who would like to add their names to the volunteer list can call that same number to do so. Thanks to Diana Notestine of Goldendale for providing this information.
