Local student named candidate in U.S. Presidential Scholars Program

NEW CANDIDATE: Nadia Smith has been named a candidate to presidential program.

Nadia Smith, a graduating senior at Goldendale High School, has been named a Career and Technical Education candidate as part of the 2017 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. The Career and Technical Education (CTE) candidates were nominated by their Career and Technical Student Organizations through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction based on their accomplishments in career and technical education fields. Smith is the daughter of Jim and Jennifer Smith. She is currently serving as the State President for the Washington Technology Student Organization (TSA), a student organization which serves approx. 6,000 students across Washington who are interested in technical careers...
