Police cover wide range of crimes


Local law enforcement was busy with calls this week, but few arrests. However, last week was more eventful, and didn’t make it into the paper due to limited space.

V-day shoplifting

On Feb. 13, Gary Spencer allegedly picked up candy, Valentine’s Day cookies and a bouquet of flowers from Holcomb’s Sentry Market and walked out without paying. The next day, Spencer confessed to Sgt. Hunziker after being confronted with video of the incident. He was charged with third degree theft and driving with a suspended license. Hunziker warns potential shoplifters: Holcomb’s has good surveillance.
