April Fools Edition: Facebook admin found guilty of wrongful booting from page

March 29, 2017

Yesterday, a ruling from the Klickitat Superior Court found in favor of Sam Sorensenson, plaintiff in the now infamous Sorensenson v. All Things Goldendale case. The lawsuit stems from a July 2016 incident in which administrators for All Things Goldendale, a closed Facebook group dedicated to local events and miscellaneous rumors (“but no negative and no selling),” allegedly booted Sorensenson from the group.

After five hours of witness testimony, which separated into at least 12 side-threads, Judge John “The Mailman” Mackleroy sided with the plaintiff. “This case serves as a reminder to all admins: persons posting about other persons posts can’t get their feelings hurt when said persons post back about their posts.”

The ruling overturns a previous ruling by the East District Court, which advised both parties to grow up.
