Cougs drop to 2-2 after losses to Dufur, play 2-2 Timberwolves

Editor's note: With Troy Spino and Justin Wells on the mound Tuesday, the Cougars and Timberwolves were knotted at one in the third inning before it was time to send the papers.

After opening the season with a doubleheader sweep over the Sunnyside Christian Knights, the Lyle-Wishram-Klickitat baseball team couldn't keep the momentum in a pair of home losses on Wednesday to Dufur.

The Cougars let one slip in the opening game of the twinbill, falling 5-4 after heading into the top of the seventh inning with a 4-3 lead over the Rangers. However, Dufur struck for two runs in the seventh, and held the Cougs scoreless in the bottom half of the inning to steal the win.
