Goldendale girls track finishes as top Class 1A school in Yakima, eighth overall

Five local track and field teams were in action over the last week, with some getting in their final competitions for a handful of days before the kids are off this week for spring break.

Bickleton, Glenwood and Lyle-Wishram were down in Oregon on Saturday competing in the 12-team Columbia River Invitational in Boardman while Goldendale matched up with 23 teams from all classes across the state as well as Alaska's Juneau Douglas on Saturday at the Don Holder Relays at Zaepfel Stadium in Yakima.

Trout Lake also had a strong showing last Thursday competing against three Class 1A teams at their second Trico League meet at the King's Way Christian Schools in Vancouver. The Mustangs collecte...
