Lots of personal bests for Pirates in Oregon

With many of the local schools taking a break from the running and jumping during spring break, the Bickleton Pirates took advantage of the week off from school and were across the river in Stanfield, Oregon, for the Dick Horyna Invitational.

Despite traveling and competing without a handful of athletes on both the boys and girls sides, the Pirates had a good showing among the 15 other teams in attendance while the team from east Klickitat County was the only Washington school competing.

Seven Bickleton athletes set personal best marks in 11 different events and some athletes took up events they hadn't previously competed in.
