Kelly pretrial begins

Today is the pretrial date for Andrew Kelly, the Lyle School District Superintendent who was cited for Driving Under the Influence and Reckless Endangerment on March 12.

According to the police probable cause statement, Kelly failed a blood alcohol content test taken at the police station subsequent to one taken in the field. At the station, Kelly’s blood alcohol level was tested at .129, well above Washington State’s legal limit of .08.

After multiple witness reports of erratic driving along Interstate 5 and Route 14, Kelly was pulled over by Bingen-White Salmon Police Officer Tony Warren, who observed Kelly’s vehicle driving halfway into the oncoming lane. A search of the vehicle...
