Wolves fall in first home games

The Goldendale softball finally was able to host its home opening doubleheader on Friday, but faced a challenge right off the bat against the Zillah Leopards.

The Leopards entered Friday's doubleheader against the Timberwolves having yet to play a South Central Athletic Conference game but swept the doubleheader against the Wolves 11-0 and 12-0.

It was a tough way to open the season at home, matching up against a team that has made the state tournament the last three years. It also didn't help that the Wolves were down a handful of players and had only enough girls to fill all nine positions on Friday.

The team was in Granger for a doubleheader on Tuesday, but results were unavailable...
