Walmart campaign targets hunger

 


The next time you shop at Walmart, part of your purchase may provide food for someone in need. Fight Hunger, Spark Change is a nationwide fundraising campaign aimed at filling the “spring hunger gap,” a yearly occurrence when food banks across the country see low donation levels.

The initiative, which runs until May 15, hopes to secure 100 million meals for Feeding America, a nationwide network of foodbanks. That network includes Second Harvest Inland Northwest, which distributes to 21 Washington counties—Klickitat County among them.
